Justin Buzzard has served as a pastor at CPC since July 2006. He leads a thriving ministry to Bay Area twentysomethings, preaches regularly on Sunday mornings, and oversees a variety of adult ministries here at CPC. A fifth-generation Californian, Justin grew up in Sacramento where God got a hold of his life as a young boy through his mom’s sharing of the gospel. After a year or so of playing college football in Washington, Justin followed the sunshine back to California where he graduated from Westmont College, majoring in communication studies. Before coming to CPC, Justin received his M.Div. degree and served as a youth pastor in the South Bay. Recently, Justin published, Consider Jesus, a study on the book of Hebrews.

Justin’s favorite things to do include: flirting with his wife (Taylor), wrestling with his young sons (Cru and Hudson), trail running, backpacking, enjoying long meals with good friends, downhill mountain biking, preaching the gospel, meeting new people, reading good books, discipling men, and exploring new places.

 

Justin also maintains a popular blog, Buzzard Blog, about the intersection between the gospel, culture, and everyday messy life.
