Steve Aurell
Care Ministry Director
Steve Aurell oversees the Care Ministry at CPC, which includes Biblical Counseling, Marriage Enrichment, Recovery and Mercy Ministries. Ironically, it was the back alleys of San Francisco and not the classrooms of seminary where God prepared his heart for ministry. Addicted to drugs and rebellion, Steve ran away from God at an early age. So by the time the Lord intervened, turning his prodigal past into a radical testimony of grace, he had spent the better part of two decades locked up in prison systems from California to Texas. God is now using this testimony and unique blend of giftings to bridge the gap between those in need and the healing offered at the Cross of Christ. Through a variety of services, workshops and trainings the Care Ministry provides a guiding and supportive hand for those caught in the grip of life’s many challenges.
Steve has been on the pastoral staff of CPC since 1996 and currently lives in Foster City with his wife Laura and daughter Jessica Dawn.
