Children's Ministry - Volunteering

We are excited that you want to check out Children’s Ministry at CPC. This section will help introduce you to the many opportunities available in this ministry. We want to help you find where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children. Your first step will be to pick up a Volunteer Application. After filling it out, make an appointment with Kim Fenech for an interview. We require a background check and personal references from someone in this body. We ask that you attend CPC no less than 6 months before you apply.

First let us ease your mind

You do not have to be an expert on children. Each member of our ministry team has one thing in common—a passion for kids. If you have a heart that loves God and a desire to work with children, we want you! You do not need a degree of any kind. We will equip and train you for this ministry.

You do not need all the time in the world

You can easily minister to children with a minimal time commitment. We have many ways you can minister to children in a time frame that will work for you during the weekend services. You will be able to form relationships with children and parents, and show them the love you have for them.

You will not be alone

You will be supported by the staff of the Children’s Ministry team. Six times a year we come together for equipping, encouraging, fellowship and fun. When you become part of our team you get a binder full of help and a DVD on 52 short subjects about being with children. Our ministry is set up so you will never be alone. We are user friendly. You also have access to the Children’s pastor if you need a little personal help. All our ministry staff has gone through an extensive application process to be cleared to work with children. We take this process very seriously. Our times demand the extreme effort it takes to keep children safe.
